DeKalb County Commissioner Jeff Rader has been feuding with the city of Brookhaven for years, calling it “Pirate Ship Brookhaven” for how it scoops up prime commercial land to build up its tax base, arguably at the expense of others. But Atlanta opinion columnist Bill Torpy calls Brookhaven “The Good Ship Lollipop” because of a recent abatement that's really sweet for the builder.
